ON THE ROAD
- Meeting point: Bassett Road, NW10. Nearest station: Latimer Road Underground Station.
- Do not drink and drive – arrive and leave safely. Sunglasses are essential – for sun protection and a subtle way to people-watch at the same time!
- Stay hydrated – we provide free water across both days.
- Always wear your pouch at the front – it’s safer and lets you show off that dance move!
- Wear comfortable shoes – or it will feel like running a marathon in heels and who wants that?
- Be cautious around parade vehicles (bar trucks, music trucks, etc.). Accidents happen – don’t be the accident!
- Rags and small towels for waving mostly but yes wiping
- Sudacreme – because legs do rub
- Baby oil - no ashy skins please – yes, white people too
- Makeup and glitter – have fun with the colours and accessories

- Bring good energy – above all
- Chapped lips are never cute – use lip balm!
- Trim your toenails – trust us, you’ll thank us later.
- Set a meeting point with your friends within the band – there’s always that one friend who disappears!
- Whistles, horns & triangles if you want to make noise in celebration.
- Towels & Rags for waving - or making a rag storm.
- Rep Your Flag - no matter where you hail from, bring your flag to show it!
- Estimate the sun – sunblock saves lives!
- Always stay in groups – safety first, but also, more friends to dance with!
- Leave valuables at home (jewellery, etc.), but carry your ‘vex money’ (minimal necessary cash in case of emergency or low network signal).
